That belief is what led me to create THE JOURNEY INSIDE, a new podcast that explores the heart behind my upcoming novel, In Jake’s Shoes, and the moments that inspired it.
In the first episode, I open up about losing my mother in the 1980s while teaching young children — a time in my life that left me asking how we hold onto the light of a lost loved one. Those reflections shaped the soul of In Jake’s Shoes: a story of a father, a son, secret letters to a deceased grandmother, and the quiet ways love stays with us.
This podcast is for our children — but it’s really meant for us. For parents, teachers, and adults who carry the weight of memory and the hope of tomorrow. It’s an invitation to pause, breathe, and rediscover the light inside each of us. To BE the light…to SEE the light inside our children.
